Geneva Marie Scott, 90, of Viburnum, Missouri, formerly of Cahokia, IL passed away Monday, September 29, 2008 at Stonecrest Healthcare in Viburnum, Missouri.
She was born September 3, 1918 at Huzzah, Missouri to Minus and Lottie (Bays) Turnbough. Geneva was united in marriage in 1936 at Goodland, Missouri to Herschal “Herk” Scott who preceded her in death on February 1, 1969.
She will be sadly missed by one brother, Jim Turnbough and wife Opal of Fenton, Missouri; one sister, Rose Cole of Viburnum, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Helen Turnbough of Steelville, Missouri; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herk; one son, Bill Scott; one brother, Kenneth Turnbough; two sisters, Dolly Dudley and Rowena Huitt; three brothers-in-law, Sonny Cole, Joe Dudley and Granville Huitt.
For several years, Geneva worked as a photo developer in St. Louis. She was a member of the Jerome Lane Baptist Church in Cahokia and attended the Freewill Baptist Church of Viburnum, Missouri.
