Geneva A. Barnett nee Harlan of Jonesburg, MO passed away November 24, 2018 at the age of 95. She was the wife of the late Richard “Dick” Barnett; daughter of the late Carl and Polly Harlan. She was the fourth child of their 10 children. She was the beloved mother of the late Charles (Joanne) Summers, Charlotte Turner, and Warren Peatross and grandmother of the late Joseph Summers and Geneva “Elizabeth” Branch. She is survived by her 2 children Patsy Liszewski and William “Bill” (Paula) Peatross. Dear sister of Lilly Jordan; She was the cherished grandmother to Leslie, Adrianne, Cynthia Summers, John “JC” Bartlett, Clint (Lisa) Williams, Tim Isaacs, Jean (Dave) Pape, Christopher Peatross, Fay Eskew, Wesley (Lagaila) Peatross, Katy and Watson Peatross. She felt so blessed to be the great-grandmother to twenty-seven and the great-great-grandmother to fifteen. She considered her family her greatest achievement. Geneva lived and worked in Jonesburg, MO the last 50 plus years of her life. She retired from the shoe factory in 1996. She enjoyed a happy fulfilled life close to her children and grandchildren. She was a proud and loving Aunt to many nieces and nephews and is loved by many. The last year of her life she lived with her daughter, Patsy in St. Louis. Services: Visitation will be Sunday, December 2 from 10:00A.M.-2:00P.M. at Pitman Funeral Home 106 W. Lions Jonesburg, MO. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Jonesburg. Location of dinner will be announced during visitation.
