Frank Borowicz, 78, of Argyle, MN, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND surrounded by his family.
Frank was born on January 15, 1931 in Warren, MN, the son of Frank and Balbina (Kasprowicz) Borowicz. He spent his early years in the Stephen, MN area. On June 24, 1952, Frank married Delphine Stallock in Florian, MN. They made their home in Argyle where Frank started Borowicz Construction and Cabinet Building. Delphine died October 14, 1994. On May 6, 1995, he married Bernadette Novak in Warren. They made their home in Argyle.
He enjoyed playing baseball for the Florian Falcons as a pitcher in his youth. Frank also enjoyed playing cards, hunting and bowling. He was well know for his singing in the area. Frank was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Lions and former Argyle Fireman.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Bernadette; children, Paulette Olson (Bruce Remore) of Grand Forks, ND, Lana (Fred) Schiller of Houston, TX, Donna (Doyle) Laudal of Eau Claire, WI, Perry (Mary) Borowicz of Grand Forks, ND, Mitchell (Annette) Borowicz of Argyle, MN, Steve Novak of Warren, MN, Jacqueline (Bill) Schroeder of Plymouth, MN, Thomas (Anne) Novak of Rochester, MN and Theresa Robinson (Brendon Lamppa) of Grand Forks, ND; twenty-three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Eleanor Solberg of Warren, MN, Dorothy Orcutt of Bloomington, MN and Adele Beach of El Toro, CA; brother, Ambrose “Butch” (Jan) Borowicz of Litchfield, MN and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers.
