Frances Mortillaro, nee Canale, of Steelville, Missouri passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at her home at the age of 88 years and 24 days. She was born in Manhattan, NY on December 25, 1923 to Gaspare Canale and Guiseppina Guida Canale. On April 27, 1947 in Astoria, NY, she was united in marriage to Peter Mortillaro who preceded her in death in 2008.
Frances was of the Catholic faith.
She will be sadly missed by her son Philip Dante and wife Anne of Warrenton, MO; one daughter Kathleen Grief and husband Alfred of NY; one brother Joseph Canale of St. Charles, MO; two sisters Rose Ianella of Spring Hill, FL and Helen Gardella of Stratton, NY; five grandchildren Frances, Philip, David, Anthony and Nicole; eight great-grandchildren Philip, Jordyn, Anthony, Nicolas, Adraine, Michael, Matthew and Izabelle.
