Obituary
Francis “Corky” R. Flynn of Lake St. Louis passed away on September 6, 2018 at the age of 90. He was the beloved husband of Barbara Flynn nee Swallow. He is survived by his three daughters, Laurie Lutz of Liberty, MO, Kelly (Prad) Sabharwal of St. Louis, MO, Kathy (Charlie) Tickner of Byron, CA; son, Robert (Karen) Flynn of St. Peters, MO; five grandsons, Dustin (Britney) Lutz, Jonathan (Melissa) Tickner, Jake Tickner, Jackson Flynn, Jordan Tickner; two granddaughters, Alexis Lutz, Tara Sabharwal; great-granddaughter, Bristin Mae Lutz; He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond J. Flynn, mother, Hazel W. Flynn nee Walsh, sister, Evelyn Flynn. He proudly served in the U. S. Marines during World War II and the Korean War. Francis was larger than life, he spoke a mile a minute and was as bubbly as a bottle of fine champagne. He attended Lehigh University, was a loyal fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and he was the first season ticket holder for Arrowhead Stadium, enjoying his time and legacy of being a Red Coater. Francis started the family tradition of season ticket holder and started a family love of Kansas City Chiefs. He was a very social person and enjoyed being a barbecue chef. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
