Evelyn M. Tardif, 60, passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by her family, on Christmas Eve. She was born on May 30, 1960, the daughter of Alverie and Irene (Lavoie) Tardif.
Evelyn was not only well educated, but also a woman of faith. She loved with her entire being, always filling her friends and family with love and laughter. Evelyn was a proud Veteran of the United States Army and she loved her country. Evelyn was happiest when with her family, friends and traveling. She was dedicated to the students she taught and made an impact wherever she went. She transitioned from teaching to the career she was most proud of with the Customs and Border Patrol, where she continued to serve the country she loved. Though she never had children, she loved all her nephews and nieces as they were her own. She passed on her love of travel to her nieces whom she regularly took on vacation with her. She was a force to be reckoned with. Evelyn was the first person to support her family in all their endeavors, whether it be schooling, sporting events, fundraisers and anything in between. Her family meant everything to her.
