Emery A. Clonts of Steelville, Missouri passed away at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the age of 80 years. Emery was born in Steelville, Missouri on Monday, February 4, 1935 to Walter and Jesse Clonts. On May 1964, he was united in marriage to Shizuko Maruyama in Tokyo, Japan. To this union three children were born.

Emery honorably served his country with the U.S. Navy for twenty-seven years and retiring as a Master Chief Petty Officer. He served in the medical field and was stationed at many facilities in the United States and overseas. He was aboard several Naval Vessels both in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. He also served two tours of duty with the U.S. Marine Corps.

On September 10, 1982, he was united in marriage to Marlene (Enke) Holloway. Emery was a member of the Steelville First Assembly of God Church and also a member of the VFW Post 6479, Board of Director for the Meramec Music Theatre for several years and a volunteer for the Chamber of Commerce.

He is survived by his wife, Marlene of the family home; two sons, Dr. Brian Clonts, M.D. and wife Theresa of Branson, MO and Michael Clonts and wife Susan of Stanton, MO; one daughter, Deborah Brownlee and husband Michael of Yokosuka, Japan; two step-daughters, Lisa Lange and husband Martin of O’Fallon, MO and Lori Murphy and husband James of West Bend, WI; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Hewkin of Cuba, MO and Lillian Clonts of Phoenix, AZ; nineteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Shizuko; sister, Eileen and husband Gerald Cape; brothers, Wildie Clonts and wife Susie, Lester Clonts, Lindell Clonts and wife Christine, Darrell Clonts and wife Donna and baby brothers, Estel, Glenn, Raymond and Paul Clonts; brothers-in-law, James Hewkin, Charles Enke and wife Sharon; sisters-in-law, Shirlie Bradshaw and husband Robert and Joan Gardner and husband Marvin.

The Family received friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 8, 2016 and from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the Steelville Assembly of God Church in Steelville, MO.
