Elvina Whitlow, 74, of Argyle, MN, passed away on early Thursday, October 8, 2009 at the Good Samaritan Center in Warren, MN with her family by her side.
Elvina Kathleen Svir was born on March 6, 1935 in Greenbush, MN, the daughter of George and Emelia (Ruschman) Svir. She was raised in Greenbush where she graduated from high school. On January 20, 1954, Elvina married Duane Whitlow. They made their home in Argyle. She worked as a cook in various restaurants, worked at Valley Coverall and was a cook at St. Rose School, Argyle Public School and Stephen/Argyle Public School. Duane died on April 26, 1994. Elvina moved to the Good Samaritan Center on March 31, 2008.
She was a member of St. Rose Church and St. Anne’s Society. Elvina was also active with the church bazaar.
