Ella Canfield, the daughter of Augusta (Wendt) and Emmanuel Kopkie was born on February 11, 1922 in Langdon, ND. She was united in marriage to William Canfield in December of 1955 in Seattle, WA. They resided in LaCenter, WA until retiring to Pitt, MN in 1970.
Ella had a variety of jobs including working in the ship yards on the coast of Washington State during WWII, and working at a children’s center, which she considered one of her favorite jobs. She also worked at Marvin Windows in Warroad for a short time.
Ella was an exemplary cook and loved to can.
