Eileen Kollin, 79, of Alvarado, MN, passed away on Sunday
afternoon, January 17, 2010 at Valley Eldercare with her
family by her side.
Eileen Haugan was born on January 17, 1931 in Wilmot, SD,
the daughter of William and Hannah (Larson) Haugan. She
moved with her family as a young girl to Alvarado where
she graduated from Alvarado High School. Eileen attended
the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. On March 8,
1952, she was united in marriage to Gladden Kollin. They
made their home in Alvarado. Eileen worked at the Warren
Hospital as a nurses aide for many years and was also the
coordinator for Alvarado Senior Meals. Gladden died on
September 28, 2000. In 2003, Eileen moved to Heritage Oaks
in East Grand Forks, MN and for the last two months, she has resided
at Valley Eldercare.
She was an active member of New Hope Lutheran Church in
Alvarado.
