Edith Rosella Hardin Dunn, nee Dicus, of Steelville, Missouri passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Gibbs Care Center at the age of 86 years, 3 months and 22 days. She was born in Keysville, Missouri on March 3, 1927 to Calvin and Etta Cassidy Dicus. On July 20, 1949, Edith was united in marriage to Carl William Hardin. Carl preceded her in death in 1973. In June of 1974, she married Arnold Dunn who also preceded her in death in 2008.


Edith attended Coffee Community Church. She enjoyed collecting dolls, roosters and angels and loved to shop.


Edith is survived by three sons, Joe Hardin and wife Barbara of Union, MO, Jerry Hardin of Cuba, MO and Dennis Hardin and wife Bonnie of Joplin, MO;  four daughters, Joyce Hanks and Jeanette Wisdom and husband Ron of Steelville, MO, Rita Ricketts of Kane, IL and Sandra Zulpo and husband Earnie of St. James, MO; step-sons, Carl Hardin, Darryl Dunn and wife Nadine, Bradley Dunn and wife Janice and Kenny Dunn and wife Janice; step-daughters, Lavonna Bell and husband Lyle, Berta Wheelock and husband James and Pam Ellis and husband John; sister, Pansy Young of Steelville, MO; sister in-law, Wanda Outlan and friend Richard of Carbondale, IL; brothers in-law, Roy Harmon, David Dunn and wife Liz and Elwood Dunn all of Steelville, MO and Bobby Dunn of Potosi, MO; seventeen grandchildren; fourteen step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.


She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Carl Hardin and husband Arnold Dunn; sons, Eugene Dicus and wife Geraldine, Danny Hardin, Dewayne Hardin and Donald Hardin; three great-grandsons, Richard Lee White Jr., Jordan Andrew White and Justin McClane: stepson, Clifford Hardin; son in-law, Earl Hanks, Jr.; four brothers, Fred Dicus and wife Hazel, Sam Dicus, Waymond Dicus and wife Della and Tom Dicus; three sisters, Mildred Ransom and husband Virgil, Ruth Harmon and Erma Dicus; brother in-law, Con Young.


The Family received friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.


Honored to be casket bearers were D. J. Hanks, Joe Hardin Jr., Richard White, Jason Davis, Allen Brown, Kevin Wisdom and Eugene Dicus. Honorary casket bearers were Tyler Walls, Daniel Hanks, Joey Wild, Brandon White, Jerry Ricketts and Jackson Davis.
