Douglas “Doug Dog” Lee Barrett of Cherryville, Missouri passed away Monday, September 16, 2013 in his home at 50 years, 1 month and 2 days of age. He was born August 14, 1963 in St. Louis, MO. He was united in marriage on June 23, 1984 to Tammie Parmeley and from that union came three children.


Doug moved to Cherryville in 1994 where he enjoyed his time with family and friends. He was the owner and operator of Barrett Overhead Door Since 1996. He was a member of the Laborers Union Local 110.  He attended the Assembly of God Church in Boss, MO. Doug loved to ride his motorcycle and was a member of the “Saddle Tramps” Motorcycle Club.  He enjoyed hunting,  fishing,  having a good time and living life to its fullest.


He will be sadly missed by his wife of twenty-nine years, Tammie Barrett of Cherryville, MO; one son, Tommy Barrett and wife Jada of Belleville, IL; two daughters, Crystal Barrett and Elizabeth Barrett of Cherryville, MO; his parents, Ellis and Dawn Turnbough, three brothers, Jim Barrett, Ellis Turnbough  and Richard Turnbough all of Davisville, MO; four sisters, Tracy Hill and husband Randy of Piggott, AR, Jan Bausch and husband Chip of Chesterfield, MO;  Kim Denby of Barnhart, MO; and Katie Hedge and husband Jim of High Ridge, MO; two sisters in-law, Terry Downey and husband Tim of Arnold, MO and Tina Summers and husband Dave of Washington, MO; one granddaughter, “Princess” Scarlett Thompson; other relatives and many friends.
