Doris Jean Troutt, 78, of Steelville, Missouri passed away Saturday, October 25, 2008 at the Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, Missouri. She was born August 31, 1930 in Potosi, Missouri to Jesse and Allie Viola (Clonts) Eaton. On January 29, 1949 she was united in marriage to Joseph Clive Troutt who preceded her in death on November 26, 2007.

Doris is survived by three sons, Joe Troutt and wife Kathy of St. James, MO, Vick Troutt and wife Loretta and Jon Troutt and wife Karen all of Steelville, MO; three daughters, Judy Bell of Cherryville, MO, Janet West and husband Steve and Nancy Halbert and husband Draton all of Steelville, MO; nine grandchildren, Kimberly McMillen and husband Jeff, Chris Troutt and wife Robin, Laura Turner and husband Preston, Jonny Troutt and wife Tiffany, Jason Troutt and wife Clarissa, Justin Troutt, Susan Bunch and husband John, Peggy Adams and husband Jon and Lucas Halbert and companion Amanda; two step-grandchildren, Jason West and wife Debby and Drew West and wife Erin; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister Joyce Crisp of San Diego, CA; two sister-in-laws, Helen Higgins of Leasburg, MO and Ethel Allison of Cuba, Missouri; other relatives and friends.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Allie Eaton, her husband, Clive Troutt, two brothers, Jesse Edward Eaton Jr. and Charles Eaton; two sisters, Velma Rustich and Lorraine Carmack; four brothers-in-law, Frank Rustich, Roy Carmack, Leland Higgins and Homer Allison.

Doris was a long-time member of the Dillard Homemakers Extension Club. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bourbon and had attended the Freewill Baptist Church in Viburnum and the First Assembly of God Church in Steelville.

Doris loved to read, crochet and piece quilting. Most of all she loved to cook for her large family and take care of them. For many years, Doris would be by the side of her husband Clive whether it was hunting, fishing or enjoying a boat ride down the river.
