Doris Ann Cottrell, nee Tinker, of Davisville, Missouri passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 67 years, 2 months and 24 days. She was born August 5, 1946 in Salem, MO to Woodrow Tinker and Georgia Payne Tinker. On September 7, 1963 in Waterloo, IL, she was united in marriage to Jerry Cottrell and to this union four children were born.


Doris attended Boss Assembly of God Church. She owned and operated the Dairy Mart in Viburnum for a few years and also owned a ceramic business. She spent many hours quilting, canning and making ceramics. Doris enjoyed her time with her children and grandchildren.


She will be sadly missed by her husband of fifty years, Jerry Cottrell of Davisville, MO; one son, Jeffrey Cottrell and companion Barbara Smith of Davisville, MO; two daughters, Christina Webb of Viburnum, MO and Carla Callahan and fiance’ LeRoy Bays of Boss, MO;  two brothers, Delbert Tinker and wife Betty of Cedar Hill, MO and Danny Tinker of Viburnum, MO; three sisters, Donna Metcalf and husband Phil and Debbie Gillam and husband Billy all of Davisville, MO and Dianne Dunlap and husband Rick of Salem, MO; six grandchildren, Jerry Leland Cottrell, Lisa Nicole Cottrell, Sydney Michelle Webb, Paige Christina Callahan, Samantha Lorraine Callahan and Blake Edward Stinson; one brother in-law, Delbert Cottrell and wife Dorothy; other relatives and many friends.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Georgia Tinker; her mother and father in-law, Leland and Emma Cottrell; son, Edward James Cottrell;  two brothers, Dwight Tinker and David Tinker; and brothers in-law, Kenneth Cottrell and James Cottrell.


The Family received friends on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.


Honored to be casket bearers were Jason Eaton, Joseph Eaton, Rodney Gillam, Ted Pryor, Austin Huff and Scott Unser.
