Donna Jane (Wisdom) Missey, 54, of Steelville, MO passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at St. John’s Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was born August 10, 1955 in Salem, MO to Cleatis and Clara Mae (McCarter) Wisdom. On November 11, 1972 in Steelville, Donna was united in marriage to Frank Missey who survives of the home.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Frank Missey of Steelville, MO; father, Cleatis Wisdom of Steelville, MO; one son, Frankie Missey and wife Carrie of Springfield, MO; three daughters, Michelle Missey, Gina Saunders and husband Richard and Joy Shoemaker all of Steelville, MO; five grandchildren, Colton Missey, Makylah Shoemaker, Hallie Boulch, Paige Missey and Payton Missey; one sister, Sharon Thurman and husband Larry of Carol Stream, IL; one brother, Denzel R. Wisdom of Steelville, MO; two brothers-in-law, Charlie Missey and wife Leona and Billy Missey and wife Linda all of Berryman, MO; seven sisters-in-law, Virginia Moses and husband Red, Viola Moses and husband Bill, Judy Gray and husband Rainey and Diane Reynolds all of Berryman, MO, Eula Ennis and husband Tex of St. Louis, MO, Lilly Jarvis and husband Mac and Mary Mercer all of Potosi, MO; and special friend, Sheila Collins of Steelville, MO.

She was joined in death by her mother-in-law, Sylvia Missey, on November 2, 2009.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Wisdom; one brother, Larry Eugene Wisdom; and father-in-law, Joe Missey.

Donna was a member of the First Baptist Church of Steelville. She was the church secretary for several years and would always tell her family how much she loved her position. She was very involved in the women’s ministry, the Relay for Life and Vacation Bible School.

She enjoyed traveling to Branson every year during the week of her birthday. Donna always wanted to help others and volunteer her time. In her spare time, she would sew; do crafts, worked for Home Interior Designers and baked wedding cakes when her children were younger.

Most of all she loved God, her family, her children, grandchildren and her church.
