David Michael Braley, of Portland, passed away February 6, 2022 at the age of 60. He was born December 6, 1961 in Ionia, the son of Lyle and Judy (Pline) Braley. David was a devoted member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and he looked forward to attending the men’s church group there each Saturday. He graduated in 1980 from Portland High School and went on to continue his career in the US military until his retirement. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy, serving during the Gulf War. Most of all, David loved his family, especially his grandchildren whom he regularly checked-in on. He will be missed by many.
Preceding David in death are his grandparents. He is survived by his daughters, Crystal (Jacob) Shivlie and Alicia (Brian) Spier; grandchildren, Logan Braley, Oliver Shivlie, Addison Shivlie, and Hayle Shivlie; parents, Lyle and Judy Braley; siblings, William Braley, Irene Braley, Lisa (Lee) Ingraham; and Pat Braley; and aunt, Elaine Taylor.
