Daniel J. Palombo of Olney, MD passed away unexpectedly Thursday evening February 23, 2023. Born October 7, 1956, he was the son of the late Camille and Louis Palombo. Danny attended Springbrook High School and graduated in 1974. After high school he attended Lincoln Technical Institute. In his early years he worked for Coca Cola. Danny owned and operated multiple successful businesses throughout his life starting with his Matco Tool business. For many years he owned Deans Automotive in Clarksville, MD with his business partner as well as Bay Hunters Charter Fishing in Chesapeake Beach, MD. Danny opened another Deans Automotive shop in Taneytown, MD that he currently owns with his son. In 2001, Danny, received his United States Coast Guard License as a U.S. Merchant Marine Officer which he kept current for many years. Danny also had his Maryland State Inspector license.
Danny valued family above all in his life. He was most proud to be a father to his three children Aimee, Daniel and Tricia. He adored his three grandsons and loved taking them fishing on the bay. Being around them brought him much joy. Danny devoted his life to his family and was most happy when his house was full of his children and grandchildren. He would put on a big pot of his sauce with linguini and everyone would gather. Danny enjoyed the simple things in life. Whether it be good food, good music or sitting on the back of his boat “Sambuca.”
Danny lead by example. He was honest and true. His generosity knew no bounds. He was the kind of man that you could depend on no matter what. He was successful due to his sheer determination and work ethic. He showed us all the true meaning of unconditional love. He is someone to look up too and admire. He was truly a great man and will be missed by all.
Danny has joined his mother Camille and father Louis as well as his brother Louie and brother in law Barry Sr. Danny is survived by his children, Aimee, Daniel and Tricia (Luke); the mother of his children Patricia Palombo; his three grandchildren, Daniel, Noah and Benjamin; his siblings Rosanne, David, Maria (Bill), Lisa (Randy) and Paul; sister in law Maria Schwartz; seven nieces and nephews and fourteen great nieces and nephews.
