D. Elnora Bixby, age 83, of Baudette, MN passed away in Lakeland, MN on July 22, 2006.
Elnora, the daughter of Ruth (Craver) and Jacob Skrivseth was born on March 7, 1923 in Turtle River, MN.
She enjoyed writing (especially her book being reviewed in Minneapolis and Grand Forks), reading, crossword puzzles, and her children and grandchildren. She loved to laugh, and hear good stories and jokes. She was active in the community, including working as a hospice volunteer, picking litter in ditches, making presentations to senior citizens and the Lake of the Woods schools.
She is survived by her husband, Parry Bixby of Baudette; children, Carla Hagen (LeRoy Sorenson) of St. Paul, John (LuAnn) Hagen of Lakeland, MN, and Greg (Joyce) Hagen of Woodbury; grandchildren, Amanda, Brooke, Jennifer, Gennelle, Erick, Nathan, Nick, and Bryan; great-grandchildren, Ally, Taylor, Jori, Alex, Derek, Ethan and Cora; sister, Lenore Dupree of Addison, IL; sister-in-laws, Selma Moorhead and Florence Hagen; and 30 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Carl Hagen; siblings, Theodore, Richard, Bendick, Beatrice, Judith, Marguerite, Luella and Hellen.
