Cynthia C. (McKinnon) Tellinghuisen, beloved wife, mother, step-mother, sister, daughter, granddaughter, aunt, great-aunt and friend died peacefully in her home on July 12, 2007 at the age of 56.
Cindy was born on April 17, 1951 in Baudette, MN, the daughter of Paul and Delores (Baade) McKinnon. She graduated from Forest Lake Senior High School (Forest Lake, MN) in 1969 before attending St. Cloud State University. Cindy was married to Glen Tellinghuisen on February 2nd , 1982. She worked for Safeway in the state of Washington for 21 years, while raising two beautiful children, Jason and Paula. After retirement, she and Glen moved to Warroad, MN in the fall of 2002, and was currently working for the U.S. Post Office.
Cindy is preceded in death by her brother, Michael McKinnon. She is survived by her husband, Glen Tellinghuisen of Warroad; children Jason Tate and Paula (Nick) Pulver; parents, Paul and Dolores McKinnon; brothers, Stephen (Debbie) McKinnon and Kevin (Wendy) McKinnon; grandparents, Jason and Marjorie Baade; step-daughters, Gail Kent and Mary Jones; nieces and nephews, Michelle (Heath) Dolven, Kristy (Jason) Sleater, Corey (Andrea) McKinnon, Ryan (Heidi) McKinnon, and Angela McKinnon; step-grandchildren, Dustin, Ryan, and Rachael; great nieces and nephew, Ava and Mya Sleater, Malia and Malachi McKinnon, Rylie Dolven; mother-in-law, Myrtle Tellinghuisen; sister-in-laws, Jean (David) Paulsrud and Sandy Tellinghuisen; special aunt, Janet Evenson and many other family members.
