Curtis Larson of Stephen, MN died at his home on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. surrounded by family. He fought a courageous battle against cancer. He was 70.

Curtis Henry Larson was born June 16, 1939, the son of Clarence and Clara (Haugen) Larson in Bottineau, ND. He was raised in Overly, ND and graduated high school in Willow City, ND. In 1958, he joined the Air Force and after basic training at Randolph Air Force Base, TX, he was assigned to Ellsworth Air Force Base. He served 3 years in the Air Force. On January 28, 1962, he was united in marriage to Ardith Donna Johnson at Overly, ND. They lived in Rugby, ND and Eden Prairie, MN. They moved to Stephen, MN in 1970, where he got a job crop spraying for Ranger Aviation. In the fall of 1970, he purchased the business from Ranger Aviation and started Larson Ag, Inc. On December 4, 1989, he was united in marriage to Carol Hanson (St. Germain).

He was an active member in the American Legion Club Post 390 and served many positions, including Commander for the last five years, which saw many improvements during that time.
