Curtis John Addison (Curt) of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, age 93, passed away on June 1, 2022, after a brief stay at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids Minnesota. He was born in Tracy, Minnesota on March 21, 1929, and graduated from Marshall High School. A veteran, Curtis dedicated three years to the Army National Guard and then was honorably discharged from the Navy after serving as a Machinist Mate 3rd Class on the USS Bon Homme Richard (the Bonnie Dick) and USS Kearsarge (the Mighty Kay) during the Korean War. Married the love of his life and sweetheart Joyce, they were together for over 70 years. He attended South Dakota State University (Brookings) for two years. Curt was also a member of the American Legion and was very proud of his service to his country. Working at many jobs and vocations, he finally ended up retiring from Kemps Dairy where he worked as a milk bottler. Curt enjoyed being married to Joyce, liked to be outdoors, being able to putter in the yard and an occasional trip to the casino. He is survived by his wife Joyce, sons Jonathan and Joel (Kay), and was preceded in death by his son James, father Virtis, mother Frances, sister Lois, brother Duane, and Woody the “Wonder Terrier”. Curt’s friendly smile and positive outlook will be missed. Blessings and thanks to all that shared in his life.
