Colon “Butch” A. Moore III was born August 31, 1957 at Cape Girardeau, MO to Lois Moore (nee Delashmet) and Colon A. Moore, Jr. He entered into eternal life on Friday, September 2, 2011 at his home in Steelville at the age of 54 years.
Colon spent four years in the U.S. Marine Corps serving in Alaska, Hawaii and the U.S. He held a BA in History and Government from Columbia College. He was a member of the Cuba American Legion and VFW. Colon enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved the companionship of his two cats, Kitty and Little One.
He was a very kind and compassionate person who loved his family very much.
He was preceded in death by his father, Colon A. Moore II; his brother Anthony L. Moore; grandparents, Howell Delashmet and wife Ava, Maurine Jackson and Colon A. Moore I.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his parents, Richard and Lois Carden of Steelville, MO; step-brother, Douglas Carden of Bourbon, MO; step-sister, Lorene Carden, Sullivan, MO; uncles, J.W. Moore of Charleston, MO, Howell Delashmet and wife Margaret of Kenansville, FL, Roger Delashmet and wife Eva of Naples, FL and Ancil Delashmet of Gaffney, SC; aunts, Ann Coombs of Cuba, MO and Patsy Rowland of East Prairie, MO; other relatives and many friends.
