Clarence Sherman Darrow Scott, 95, of Baudette, MN, died Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at the Lakewood Health Center in Baudette, MN.
Clarence was born August 31, 1911 in Monroe County, Iowa to Henry and Jennie (Angwin) Scott. He married Nora Lauritson in Baudette, MN on August 16, 1938, they lived in Birchdale, MN and then in Clementson, MN for a short time and settle in Carp, MN. He worked on his farm in the summer months and in the woods logging during the winter months. Clarence worked in the Iron Ore Mines in Chisholm, MN for two years from 1952-54. Prior to retiring in 1973 he worked at the Bixby Lumber Mill for about four years and he continued to work on his farm in his later years.
Clarence and Nora enjoyed working on sewing quilt tops for the church during the winter months. His other hobby was working in his garden, weeding and hoeing; he kept his garden very neat and orderly.
