Clarence “Casey” Czapiewski passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2004 at the Good Samaritan Center in Warren, MN at the age of 85.

Clarence John Czapiewski was born on September 28, 1918 in Oslo, MN, the son of John and Veronica (Merchlewicz) Czapiewski. He spent his early years in the Oslo area. Clarence was in the US Army as a Ranger in the 6th Battalion during World War II (March 19, 1941 – October 2, 1945). He served in New Guinea, Southern Philippines and Luzon. After he returned, he traveled Minnesota and North Dakota doing construction of farm buildings. Clarence was one of the first residents of Landmark West in Warren when it was built.

He was a member of the Warren American Legion Post #27 for fifty-four years.

Clarence enjoyed watching baseball, especially the Atlanta Braves, and working on puzzles.

Left to mourn his passing are three sisters; Sally Anderson of Warren, MN, Helen Pokrzywinski of Crookston, MN and Rose Czapiewski of Warren, MN and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Iverson and Regina Czapiewski and three brothers, Ernest, Harry and Felix.
