Charles “Bud” Syverson, 94, of Warren, MN, formerly of Thief River Falls, MN, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Center in Warren, MN.

Charles Robert Syverson was born on August 30, 1914 in Thief River Falls, the son of Nels and Mary (Mikulecky) Syverson. He graduated from Thief River Falls High School. Charles went to work for the Soo Line Railroad after he graduated from high school. He served in the US Army during World War II. After his discharge, he moved back to Thief River Falls and returned to work for the Soo Line Railroad. He retired in 1975. In 1975, he started to spend his summers at his cabin on Union Lake. Since 2004, Charles has spent his winters in Warren.

Sadly missed by several nieces and nephews including Randy and Bette Swanson of Warren, MN, Lorna and Scott Fillipi of Warren, MN, Rob and Sandy Swanson of Gatzke, MN, Joyce Erickson of Viking, MN and Ike and Cindy Ellingson of Viking, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; six sisters, Rose Ellingson, May Gran, Amy Hansen, Pearl Syverson, Bernie Syverson and Bess Swanson and brother, Tenny.
