Celestine Mary (Dahl) Kinsey passed away on July 24, 2010, at the age of 92 years, 5 months and 6 days of age.

Celestine Kinsey was born on February 18, 1918 in High Gate, Missouri to her parents: William Henry and Nellie (Spurgeon) Dahl. Celestine Dahl was united in marriage to Lewis Bowles Kinsey on May 28, 1943. To this union one daughter was born.

Early in life Celestine gave her heart and life to Jesus Christ, and was baptized in the High Gate Baptist Church. She later joined the First Baptist Church of St. Ann (Mary Ann Baptist Church) in St. Louis, Missouri where she faithfully attended until her health failed.

Celestine Kinsey is survived by one daughter: LaFaye (Kinsey) Young and husband Troy; one granddaughter: Crystal Charmain Gwaltney and husband Daniel; one grandson: Anthony Bryan Young and wife Keri; and nine great-grandchildren all of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother-in-law Wilton “Tony” Kinsey and wife Shirley, of St. James, Missouri; three sister-in-laws: Kathleen (Skouby) Dahl of High Gate, Missouri; Helen (Kinsey) Rivers and husband Bob of St. James, Missouri; Shirley Kinsey and husband Eugene of St. Louis, Missouri; two nieces: Jannet (Dahl) Potts and husband Bill of High Gate, Missouri; and
Marilyn (Dahl) Russell and husband Storm of Jefferson City, Missouri; one grand niece and three grand nephews, and a great grand niece; along with a host of cousins and friends, all grieving her passing but praising God for her arrival into the arms of her Lord, Jesus Christ.

Preceding Celestine Kinsey in death are her parents: William and Nellie (Spurgeon) Dahl; her beloved husband of 35 years, Bowles Kinsey; brother: Lawrence Dahl, sister: Gladys (Dahl) Skouby and brother-in-law: Alton Skouby.
