Carl Douglas Chaney (77) passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. He was a truck driver for 45 years.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Susan Lofton Chaney of Saltillo; his sons, John Douglas Chaney (Viktoria) of Ukraine and Jon Blount (Dana) of Bruce; his daughters, Katie Chaney Crosby (Billy) of Dallas, TX and Jennifer Yates of Booneville; his sisters, Barbara Harrell (Jerry) of Grenada, Bea Woods of Grenada and Kay Wolfe of Grenada; his grandchildren, Austin Yates, Jayden Blount, Trinity Blount, Noah Chaney, Jayden Coker, Jordyn Coker and Braylon Crosby.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frances Marion and Elizabeth Mar Chaney; his step-father, Carl Vance; his sister, Betty Sue Harrell; his grandson, James Flynn; his brothers-in-law, LQ Woods and Jerome Beard and his son-in-law, John Yates.
