Burton (Burt) G. Robson, 83 of Portland, passed away at home, surrounded by his family, on January 18, 2022. Burt was born in Bath, MI on May 14, 1938. He is the son of Byron and Arlene (Dryer) Robson. Burt retired from the State of Michigan after many years of service. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and the Knights of Columbus. After his retirement, he traveled yearly to Montana and several times to Alaska.
Burt is preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws, Dean and DeRua Webert, sister, Besty Robson, brothers-in-law, Richard Hanna, Lance Clark, Tom Webert, and Robert Trimmer, and grandson, Chad Schneider. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sharon, children, Tim (Julie) Robson, Michele (Kirk) Hoppes, Melanie (Russ) Schneider, Stephanie (Bill) Schneider, Byron (Missy) Robson, and Sarah (Jason) Haigh, siblings, Shirley Hanna, Mary Clark, and George (Cynthia) Robson, in-laws, Carol (Jim) Wilcox, David (Melanee) Webert, and Janice Trimmer, 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and many friends he has made over the years.
