Btlim Asstlianids, of West Roxbury, passed away on February 28, 2020. She was 86 years old.

Born and raised in Aleppo, Syria, she married the love of her life and, in 1970, following his passing, she became a seamstress and opened her own successful dressmaking shop to support her family.  Btlim raised her two young daughters alone. She proudly married her daughters to a family she loved as her own.  In 1991, she moved to the United States, following her daughter who had come to the US 3 years earlier. Btlim devoted her life to help raising her grandchildren.

The 2 passions in her life were her family and her faith. She spent her days in prayer, at Our Lady of the Annunciation Cathedral, praying for family, friends, acquaintances, and even those she did not know closely, but heard were having a difficult time. She could always be found dressed in her Sunday best and she was dearly loved by everyone who knew her.

Btlim was the dear and devoted wife of the late Costy Khoukaz. Loving mother of Maha Khoukaz of Michigan and her late husband Fouad Bikndi and Mouna Khoukaz and her husband Jacqu Bekandy of West Roxbury. Cherished grandmother “Teta” of George, Costy, George and Sandy. Great grandmother of Javino, Jakoby, Natalia, Zyah and Dominic. Dear sister of the late John Asstlianids, Yorgie Asstlianids, Mary Samman and Albria Wartin. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
