Bonnie Virginia Jones, née Halbert, of Steelville, MO, formerly of Rolla, MO passed away Monday, September 2, 2013 at Gibbs Care Center in Steelville at the age of 84 years. She was born November 11, 1928 in Chaffee, MO to Pearl Clifford Halbert and Harriet Caroline (Leach) Halbert. Bonnie was united in marriage to Fangie Edward “Jonsie” Jones at Delta, MO on November 10, 1946 and to this union two children were born.
Growing up in Chaffee, Bonnie graduated from Chaffee High School. She met her husband to be in her hometown. After their wedding, they lived in different parts of Missouri, Arizona and Texas. For many years, she devoted much of her time to the First Christian Church of Rolla and to the community.
Bonnie was a very skilled seamstress and a wonderful cook.
