Bonnie Ruth Hendrix, 83, of Steelville passed from this earthly home on Sunday, July 8, 2007. She was born, September 10, 1923 in Tupelo, Mississippi, the daughter of Virgil Eugene and Christine (Vaughn) Horton. Ruth was united in marriage to Herbert Stanley Hendrix on September 18, 1942 in St. Charles, Missouri. After 37 years of marriage, Herbert preceded her in death in 1979.
Those left to mourn her passing are two sons, Warren Hendrix and wife Shirley of Steelville, Missouri and Tom Hendrix and wife Debra of Prairie Home, Missouri; two daughters, Gail Miller of Columbia, Missouri and Linda Rush and husband J.C. “Doc” of Selma, Alabama; one step-daughter, LaDonna Fountain of Cuba, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Christy Hain, Michelle Turnbough, Eric Hendrix, Chris Hendrix, Justin Hendrix, Joey Hendrix, Melanie, Nick Miller and Nathan Miller; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Fred Horton.
Ruth was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Eastern Star of Versailles, Missouri. She had been an insurance broker for Shelter Insurance Co. Ruth will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
