Bonnie Jeyn Meek McNurlin, the daughter of Luella “Bernice” (Borden) and Glen McNurlin, was born on March 14, 1941 in Garrison, MN. She grew up and attended school in Egeland, ND and later Warroad, MN where she attended high school. She and Donald Meek were married in 1958 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Warroad. She stayed at home to raise her five children and later worked at Marvin Windows for 17 years, retiring in 1995 due to health reasons. She married Donald Cole in 2003 and he went to the Lord two years later.
Bonnie’s first love was our Lord and Savior Jesus. She was a charter member of the Warroad Baptist Church and loved her ministry there. She served in many capacities at the church: Sunday School teacher, VBS teacher, Good News Club leader, teaching sign language, Loa ministries and many others. She brought many people, especially children to church and was passionate about her “memory verses.
