Beverly E. Oistad, 86, of Argyle, MN died Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at North Valley Health Center in Warren.
She was born August 31, 1923 in Argyle, Mn to Fred and Elaine Craik where she was the youngest of three children, Robert and Elaine (Cedy) and Beverly . Beverly graduated from Argyle High School on May 28, 1941. She was united in marriage to Oliver M. Oistad on November 27, 1947 in Karlstad, Mn where they made there home. Oliver passed away on May 25, 1952. Beverly moved to Argyle where she raised two children, Nancy and Jean. She was employed as a deputy sheriff in Marshall County from July 1, 1959 to July 1, 1979 until her retirement.
Left to mourn her passing are her children, Nancy (John) Makowski of Portland, Michigan and Jean (Gary) Oen of Argyle, MN; grandchildren, Beth (Mitchell) Grohowski, Sarah (Jason) Fox, Bree (Anthony) Safranski, and Bjorn (Ellishia) Turnwall; great-grandchildren, Madisen, Ashten and Carsen Safranski and Treyden and Bailey Turnwall and Connor Fox; nephews, Robert (Donna) Rost and Jim Rost.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Oliver; one grandchild, one sister and brother in law, Cedy and Wallace Rost; and one brother and sister in law, Robert and Anna Craik; and one nephew, Richard Rost.
