Bertie Basford was born on February 2, 1921 to her parents: Andy Evans and Lottie Mai (Shore) Hayes in Polk, Tennessee. Bertie was united in marriage William Cullie Tate and to this union one daughter was born. Bertie then married Clarence Breuer. She was united in marriage to James Basford on March 6, 1998.
Bertie Basford is survived by one daughter: Ruth Ann Breuer and husband Everett Raymond of Bland, Missouri; and two grandchildren: Vernon and Darren; along with a host of family and friends. Bertie will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Preceding Bertie Basford in death are her parents: Andy Evans and Lottie Mai (Shore) Hayes; husbands: William Cullie Tate; Clarence Breuer; and James Basford who entered into rest on June 13, 1998 and four brothers: Jake, Andy Jr., Gene and Frank Hayes and one sister: Anna Lou Hayes.
