Obituary for Bernice Anderson

Bernice Anderson, 86, of Warren, MN, passed away on Monday evening, December 22, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Center in Warren.

Bernice E. Anderson was born on September 16, 1922 at Alvarado, the daughter of Elmer and Louise (Anderson) Anderson. Bernice was raised in rural Alvarado, MN and she graduated from Alvarado High School. After high school, Bernice attended Aaker’s Business College. When she completed college, she worked at Grand Forks Paint and Glass as a secretary for a couple years before going to work for PKM Electric Co-OP in Warren as an administrative secretary. Bernice worked at PKM for 34 years until retiring on October 31, 1987. She moved to the Good Samaritan Center on October 11, 2001.

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Warren where she played the organ. Bernice also belonged to a Women’s Ministry group and a member of the Warren Senior Citizens Club.

Bernice enjoyed playing the auto harp, reading the Bible and traveling, which included trips to the Holy Land and Hawaii.

Left to mourn her passing are two brothers, Leland (Dolores) Anderson and Harlen Anderson all of Alvarado, MN; nephews, Ransel (Dawn) Anderson and Joel (Amy) Anderson all of Alvarado, MN; three nieces, Rhonda (Dave) Thompson of Lakeville, MN, Rochelle Anderson of Eagan, MN and Jodell (Ruel) Johnson of Moorhead, MN; five great-nieces; four great-nephews; one great-grandniece and one great-grand nephew.

She was preceded in death by parents; sister-in-law; Marie and niece, Jolayne.
