Austin “Doc” Wright Barrick III of Flint Hill, Missouri was born August 17, 1937 in Ferguson, Missouri; son of the late Austin Wright Barrick, Jr. and wife, Irene Emma Mullen Barrick. Doc passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019 at home in Flint Hill, Missouri at the age of 81 years. He was raised in Ferguson, Missouri. Doc served 8 years in the active Army Reserves. He graduated from Logan Chiropractic College. He was united in marriage to Miss Peggy Chandler. Doc retired from Chrysler Automotive after 30+ years. He was a long-time member of King Solomon Masonic Lodge No. 95 in St. Louis, currently serving as Junior Warden. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Peggy Barrick of Flint Hill; one daughter, Trella Bobeen and her husband, Eric of Lake Ozark, MO; two grandchildren, Chelsea Bobeen of St. Peters and Johnathan Bobeen of Overland Park, KS. Mr. Barrick’s wishes were to be cremated. There will be no immediate visitation or service, although a Memorial Celebrating Doc’s Life is being planned for the near future; details are pending. The family was served by the Pitman Funeral Home in Wentzville. Mr. Austin Barrick will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him.
