Arlene Neegard, 77, of Warren, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2015, in Altru Heath Center, Grand Forks, ND.
Arlene Marie was born on April 4, 1938, in Argyle, MN, to Adolph and Angeline (Dessellier) Parent. Arlene was baptized in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and grew up in Argyle, graduating from high school there in 1956.
On September 27, 1957, Arlene was united in marriage to Marvin Neegard. They lived in Minneapolis for a short time before returning to Warren and raising two children. Arlene held several jobs in town over the years, working at the Good Samaritan Home, in the office of Dr. Lamb, at H&H for 23 years, the Warren Bakery, and at the Warren Hospital in Medical Records. She was active in her church and community, serving as president of Sts. Peter and Paul Ladies Auxiliary for a time in the 60’s and on the church council, in addition to being a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Arlene is survived by her daughter, Cindy M. Nielsen of Warren; daughter-in-law, Sue Neegard of East Grand Forks, MN; longtime friend, Gary Carlson; sister, Rita Pagnac; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; son, Ricky D. Neegard; her parents; brothers, Paul, Rudolph, Gerald, Ludger; sisters, Bernice Anderson, Eloise Metcalf, and Edith Gornowicz.
