Anna Mae Richards, 82, of Potosi, formerly of Steelville passed away Monday, July 2, 2007 at the Potosi Manor. She was born Thursday June, 11, 1925 in Steelville, Mo., the daughter of John and Florence (Edwards) Stafford. Anna was united in marriage to Bill Richards in Bourbon, Missouri and he preceded her in death in October 1981.
Those left to mourn her passing are four sons, Charley “Bill” Richards and wife Charlett of Desoto, Missouri, Mike Richards and Jeff Richards both of Hillsboro, Missouri, and Russ Richards and wife Linda of Cadet, Missouri; two daughters, Debbie Schenks and husband Mike of Van Buren, Missouri and Betty Winn and husband Ray of Payette, Idaho; two sisters, Myrna Boyd and husband Roy of Oliverhurst, California and Peggy Tackett and husband George of Sparks, Nevada; ten grandchildren; 20 great- grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Anna was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Stafford and Robert “Bob’ Stafford and two grandsons, Slate and Tink.
Anna was a homemaker and enjoyed camping, fishing, swimming, laying in the sun with egg shells on her eyes, and most important being with her family. She enjoyed cooking, making peach cobbler and fabulous spaghetti sauce. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
