Alban John Arens, age 88, of Westphalia went to be with the Lord on February 8, 2022. He was born on December 12, 1933 in Westphalia, the son of Theodore and Hildegard (Thelen) Arens. Alban was a member of St. Mary’s Church, the Catholic Order of Foresters and the St. Joseph Society. He was a hardworking lifelong farmer and retired from General Motors after 38 years of service, mostly spent in the skilled trades. Alban enjoyed trips with his family and loved genealogy. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Ronald and brothers, Richard and John; sons-in-law, Greg Scheid and Paul Trapani; brothers-in-law, Lee Stauffer and Gary Lucas; father and mother-in-law, William and Frances (Halfmann) Rademacher; Rademacher brothers and sisters-in-law, Antoinette (Joseph) Hafner, Eldred Rademacher, Agatha (James) Feldpausch, Denis (Mary Lou) Rademacher, Roderick (Mary) Rademacher, Margaret (Melvin) Schneider, Daria (Mark) Pung, and Harold (Alice) Rademacher. Surviving are his wife of 65 and half years, Eugenia (Rademacher) Arens; children, Lori Ann (Arens) Mercer, Michael Richard (Carol Reaume) Arens and Lynette (Arens) (Richard) Clark; grandchildren, Andrea, Christina, Kelly, Devin, Theodore, Bethany (Brian), Mariah, Jonathon, Nicholas, Nathan, Nolan, Isaac and Chloe; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Angel, Gage, Daisy, Eliah, Mason, Frankie, Sammie, David, and Audra; siblings, Mary Jane Lucas, Gladys Stauffer, Ron (Kay) Arens, Diane (Bruce) George and Bruce (Sharon) Arens; sister-in-law, Marcella Rademacher; godchildren, Michelle Lucas, Mark Arens, Bruce Arens, and Richard Rademacher; many nieces and nephews.
