Nyle Stanley Skaggs, 82, of Wooster finished his earthly course on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at home after a brief illness with pancreatic cancer.
Nyle was born Jan. 15, 1936 in Edmond, WV to the late Weston and Eva (Holliday) Skaggs and was raised by his father and step-mother, Lorena after his mother’s early death. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 – 1958 and married the former Janice Swartz on July 20, 1957 while serving in the Navy. Together he and Jan shared over 60 wonderful years together. He retired in 1996 from Rubbermaid Inc. after 36 years of service and later transported Amish in the Fredericksburg area for 20 years. A resident of Fredericksburg most of his life, he had served on the Fredericksburg Town Council and was a member and past president of the Fredericksburg Ruritan.
