Nyla J. Murphy, 67, of Metamora passed away on Friday, November 21, 2014 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born June 18, 1947 in LaHarpe, IL the daughter of the late Roy and Virgie Collins Bundy. She married Lyle A. Murphy on June 4, 1972 in Metamora. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter Jennifer (Troy) Johnson of Germantown Hills and one son Jeffrey (Christina) Murphy of Garden Grove, CA. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, three brothers Mike (Cheryl) Bundy of Nappa Valley, CA; Jerry Bundy of Roanoke and Byron (Nancy) Bundy of Monmouth, four sisters Glenda Herron of Georgia; Nancy Pence of Palmyra, MO; Betty (John) Knaak of Topeka, IL. and Charlene (Bill) DeLap of Metamora. One infant Grandson Kyle, one sister and two brothers preceded her in death.
Nyla was employed by Bemis Bag for 28 years last working as an off-bearer. She later worked for Drumholder Bag Company in Peoria for several years before retiring in 2009.
