Nova Irene Allen of Waldron, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, July 22, 2016 in Waldron, Arkansas surrounded by her loving family. Nova was born November 28, 1924 to John O. Franklin and Gracie (West) Franklin. Nova was 91 years, 7 months and 24 days old. She was a longtime member of Waldron Pentecostal Church of God. She was a strong and faithful Christian woman. She exemplified her values and beliefs to everyone she knew.
Nova was a sweet spirited lady. She enjoyed crocheting. She especially loved her family and the traditional Sunday dinner when everyone would gather at her house.
Nova leaves behind to cherish her memory, four daughters: Doris Kelley, Jeanie Kelly, Margaret Kelley and Marilyn Allen and two sons: Joe Allen and Richey Allen all of Waldron, Arkansas. Granny will forever remain in the hearts of her eleven grandchildren,15 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Junior Franklin of Waldron, Arkansas. Nova will be missed by all that knew her and the many whose lives she impacted, including a host of extended family, church family, neighbors and loved ones close to her heart.
Nova was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Edward “Ed” Allen, one granddaughter, Leajeana Morgan, two brothers: Hobert Franklin and Calvin Franklin and one sister Mayrene Allen.
