Norris O’Neal Gann, age 62, of Newnan died August 3, 2008 at his residence. A native of the Sargent Community, he was born June 28, 1946 and was the son of the late Joe Sidney Gann and Julia Adel Stapler Gann Burnham.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Byron Gann.
Norris was associated with Owens Corning as a quality assurance manager for 37 years. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
Norris is survived by his wife Virginia Titshaw Gann of Newnan; his children, Courtney Marie Moffett (and Alan Brumbelow, Jr.) and Melanie Paige Young (and Brian Young) of Williamsburg, VA; a brother, Bo Gann (and Helen Gann) of Dawsonville; one grandchild, Alexis Haley Moffett. His sisters are Marie (and Dennis) Landers, Diane (and Richard) Clark, Joan (and Barry) Cochran, Marlene (and Bobby) Minix, Judy (and David) Hill.
