Norman R. Cudlip, 78, of Oglesby, formerly of Piety Hill, died December 27, 2006 at his home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Prey-Mueller Funeral Home, Oglesby. Rev. Jack McConaghie of the Oglesby Union Church will officiate. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, LaSalle with military honors by the LaSalle-Oglesby Veterans Memorial Group.
He was born October 25, 1928 in LaSalle to Robert and Henrietta (Martyn) Cudlip. He worked as a salesman for the Hoover Company for 20 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He married Sarah Watts on August 8, 1953 in Tonica. He was a member of National AARP; was a life member of the Oglesby American Legion; and was a volunteer for the Oglesby Little League Parade for over 20 years.
He is survived by: his wife; 1 daughter, Suzan (George) Cullinan of Oglesby; 2 sons, Stephen P. Cudlip of Oglesby, and David M. Cudlip of Oglesby; and 2 grandsons, Michael and Patrick Cullinan.
He was preceded by his parents. Pallbearers will be Stephen and David Cudlip, Michael and Patrick Cullinan, and Michael and Tom Watts.
