Norman Jeremy “Jerry” Englebrecht Johnson, 82, of Bethlehem Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday July 6, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital Anderson Campus. He was the loving husband of the late Katherine Johnson, who passed away on December 7, 2017. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Norman and Aili (Kolehmainen) Johnson. Jerry received his PhD from the University of Michigan, and worked as a optical engineer for his company, Specialty Instruments. Jerry and Kathy lived in Lexington, Massachusetts for over 40 years before moving to Bethlehem in 2013.
SURVIVORS: He will be lovingly remembered by his children Christopher Johnson of Bellows Falls, VT, Stephen Johnson and his wife Amy of Methuen, MA, Daniel Johnson of Framingham, MA, Sarah Johnson and her husband Mike Dempsey of Bethlehem Township; sister Christine Diol and her husband Peter of Ft. Myers Beach, FL; grandchildren Finn and Katrin Dempsey and Lilian Johnson.
