Norman Earl “Norm” Hanna Middletown: As darkness settled in on Saturday May 24, 2003, the Angels whispered softly, come, and after a journey of a little more than 87 years, Norm crossed over and went home to Jesus. Norm was born in Hancock County on September 5, 1915 and spent his early years in Fortville, but resided in Middletown most of his adult life. He was the son of John C. and Gladie Hunt Hanna. He was employed for 44 years at Delco Remy Division of General Motors retiring in February 1982. He was a member of the Middletown United Methodist Church. He served in the Army during Word War II. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Mary Huser Hanna. Two daughters and sons in laws, Cindi and Dwain McCarroll of Middletown and Jan and Max McMichael of Lasing Kansas. Four Grandsons, Thad McCarroll of Indianapolis, Kacy McCarroll of Lowell Indiana, Brade McCarroll of Middletown and Derek wife Kelly Glaze of Attica, Indiana. One step-grandchild, Sean McMichael of Fargo, North Dakota and three step-great grandchildren, Alisha, Cheyenne, and Kirsten May of Attica Indiana. Three brothers: Mark wife Aloma Hanna of Middletown, Bob, wife Joan Hanna of Middletown, and Lee, wife Gretchen Hanna of Pendleton. Brother in Law: Gene Kindle of Gas City, Indiana. Also surviving are special loved ones, Thelma Pontius and family and many loved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Gladie Hanna, a sister Martha Kindle, a brother James Hanna, and his brother in law and sister in law George and Betty Huser.
