Norman Brown, 81, of Pendleton, passed away on June 12, 2013 at his residence.
He was born on October 28, 1931 in Kentucky and resided most of his life in Gas City. Norman retired from Owens-Illinois after 30 years of service. He served his country in the U.S. Marines. Norman enjoyed fishing and playing euchre. He was a member of the American Legion in Jonesboro and the AMVETS in Marion.
Norman is survived by his children, Michael Joy Brown of Pendleton, Cathy Clark, of Gas City and Sharon Nigel Griffiths, of Munich Germany; siblings, Carol Johnson, of Huntington, Rosie Baker, of Huntington and Barbara Ellis, of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Jamie Brown, Michael Brown, Swarsattie Brown, Nafeeza Brown, Ria Jason Andrews, Kyle Ketchum, and Macallan Griffiths; 1 great-granddaughter, Heavenly Angel Andrews. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ethel Brown; brothers, Gene Brown, Jim Brown and Dean Brown.
