Norman Boggus, age 84, of Green Forest passed from this life on Sunday, May 22, 2011. He was born on December 15, 1926 in Riverside, CA to the late Alfred and Pauline (McDaniel) Boggus. On June 16, 1951 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Elizabeth (Holiday) Boggus. During WWII he served in the U.S. Army where he received several medals. Norman was self employed most of his life as a rancher and a carpenter. He was talented in the areas of blacksmithing, gardening, cabinet building and singing. In his younger years he sang with gospel quartets and served as song leader in his church. He was a member of Grace Bible Church in Eureka Springs. He was very devoted to his faith and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His hobbies included camping, fishing, hunting and woodworking. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Betty) Boggus of the home, daughter, Coleen Davison of Green Forest one son, Dale Boggus and wife Tami of Harrison, 2 sisters, Melba Kelley and Carolyn Harris, 1 brother, Preston Boggus, 6 grandchildren: Erin Davison, Kathryn Davison, Philip Davison, Shawn Adams, Kelly Boggus and Faith Boggus, and 4 great-grandchildren.
