Norman A. Martin (74) of Griswold, CT, unexpectedly passed away at Hartford Hospital on February 6th. He was born on August 1st of 1946 to Honore N and Lucienne (Langlois) Martin. He had two sisters, Cecile M. Roberge and Claire Craig (pre-deceased), and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Norman is survived by his wife, Trular (Trudy) Martin, his two sons Jeffery and Jason, and his step daughter Beth O’Brien. A loving grandfather to his 7 grandchildren and a friend to all. Norman and his wife, Trudy Martin, celebrated their 14th wedding Anniversary this past November. Norman and Trudy, both born at William. W. Backus Hospital in the same year – 2 days apart – were good friends as teenagers. Both went different ways, married and had families.

As time went by, each lost a spouse and had reconnected. It didn’t take long for them to both discover how much they were each others sweethearts. Norman was a member of the American Citizens Polish Club, Jacques Cartier Club and a US Army Member of The VFW Post 5446. Norman loved singing Karaoke. He enjoyed Monday night car shows at the beach with a round of mini golf at the end. And when the weather was nice, his favorite vacation spot was up in the White Mountains.  Grandpas boy, Corbin, will forever miss hanging out with him during the week.

Norman will forever be missed and loved by many.
