Argus; beloved mother of Denise (Dean) Fantarella, Lisa and Sheri Argus; loving grandmother of Courtney, Tyler and Colby Fantarella and Arianna Astrom; sister of Joyce Calarco and the late Bruno Puglia; aunt of Cali Calarco, Terri and Rindi Puglia.
Norma was born on July 17, 1936 to the late Michael and Sylvia Leonardi Puglia who emigrated from Italy and relocated in New Haven where she grew up. She graduated from Hillhouse High School in 1954 and from New Haven State Teachers College (now SCSU) in 1958. She taught elementary school in West Haven for 5 years. After raising her daughters she returned to work in the finance department of American Cancer Society where she retired after 25 years.
